Tonight our Eureka church had a talent show. There was a bit of everything from beautiful piano pieces played by Cynthia, Vanessa and Mavalee each special in it's own way. There were skits that kept us laughing (Colton was hilarious), and wonderful poetry by Sandy. There were those that were blessed with amazing voices. Alan, Jeff and Josh, and others made it look and sound so easy to make hose beatiful sounds flow rom there lips. Prizes were to be given out in several different categories by 3 judges and I happened to be selected as one of them. Cynthia thought she could persuade us with homemade fudge and Patty T. thought she could persuade us with crocheting us dish clothes and cool scrubbers. But, they didn't know was everyone was a winner because all the categories that we had. Jeff and Josh took Best talent overall ( I didn't judge on that because I didn't feel it was fair for me to). Below is a clip of one of the songs Jeff and Josh did an old song that the cowboys would sing on the plains after a long hard day driving cattle. They would sit by the fire with there guitars and sing this beautiful song Wagon Wheels. This is a tribute to all those who know what its like to drive cattle.
